Obtaining

Industrial borax (sodium tetraborate decahydrate) is obtained by the neutralization of boric acid with sodium carbonate.

Application

Depending on purpose industrial borax gets produced in two grades: A and B.

Borax grade, А is used in the production of non-ferrous metals, porcelain ware, for special and other purposes.

Borax grade B is used in enamels and glazes in manufacturing of technical equipment, sanitary products, in the process of wire drawing, in the welding flux, solder, and for other purposes.

Safety requirements

Borax is fire and explosion-proof. Its toxicity is caused by the main basic component — boric acid which is a substance of the 3rd level of danger for the human body.

Packing

Borax is packed in four-layer paper bags, foil liners insertered in flax-jute-kenafnye, four-layer paper or laminated with rubber-mix bags. It is аllowed to pack the product in special soft disposable containers.

Shelf life

6 months from a manufacturing date.
