Obtaining

The raw material for litharge is lead.

Application

Litharge is a technical lead oxide.

Litharge is produced in the following classification targeting different usage:

• Г-1 — for the orange lead crown, lead crystal, crystal glass and electroceramics;
• Г-2 — for the yellow lead and lead-molybdate crown, dryers, stabilizers, PVC reinforcement and rubber products;
• Г-3 — for batteries and electric carbonic products;
• Г-4 — for rubber;
• Г-6 — for diode glass, lead crystal and crystal glass.

Appearance of the product

Brand Г-1-Г-4 — yellow powder of different tone, Г-6 — granules of reddish-brown color.

Safety requirements

Litharge by impact on the body is a substance of Class 1 dangerous.

Guaranteed shelf life

Г-1, Г-2, Г-3 and Г-4 — 6 months

Г-6 — 12 months from a date of manufacturing.

Note

Standards for Г-6, grains' metrics:

• Mass fraction of more than 2.5 mm is absent;
• Mass fraction of less than 0.1 mm, %, not more than — 5;
• Strength of grains by abrasion,%, not less than — 95;
• Strength of granules at the impact, %, not less than — 95.
